Today. We're gonna talk about how our everyday spaces that we go to. Everyday spaces, things that like You know, just our part of normal. Correct. Our part of normal society has been turned into terrifying areas.

Let's start with. Let's start with children.

Um, okay. Well, because they're innocent. They're supposed to be innocent, they're supposed to be, you know, pure and innocent and all that. Um, that's why witches always try to eat them. We talked about that in our witches episode of our favorite witches and you know, hocus focus. Sanderson Sisters was a little bit of a cannibal with the souls, you know.

Correct. I mean, they only ate the souls, they don't really eat the body, so that's I guess that's good. But at the same time.

I guess because I guess because they are innocent. And you wouldn't expect it. You know what I mean? I guess you wouldn't really expect the child to be like creepy or anything. But then, like, at the same time, you do have those kids who like because you they're kids, right? We don't we have we don't analyze them as like a true adult or analyze that they might have like a schizophrenia or anything like that. They they do tend to have make imaginary friends and all that stuff, so they start off.

They see things, they do this in that they can see things more like haunting in Connecticut, the little girl saw everything. Sinister, old dude was going after the kids. After these children, they made the children. I still have questions about that movie in general. I don't know if it was ever explained because how is my eight-year-old tying me up? And tying like the family up. I just don't know if like old dude was helping her, because y'all was tied up to the point that you cannot leave. So I just want to know how that happens.

That's what I'm saying, like, especially my father. I haven't watched Sinister in a while, so I don't know if the entity was helping them. I'm not, you know, I'm not a thousand percent sure. But that's always been my gripe with them, is because I don't know if they just got like possessed enough to have superhuman strength.

And and it's easy, it's easy for demons to like possess them or like to manipulate them.

It is, because they're, you know, all they have to do is be like, I'm your friend.

Right, and they're gonna believe that because these children don't know anything. They don't know any better yet. So they're gonna sit here and be like, oh, you're gonna be my best friend.

Because they went after, she went out, he went after like the little little one. Like the youngest. Oh, I thought it was the youngest. Because well, you gotta think the older one, I mean, just like listen, we love RPG spooks, the um don't look under the bed. After you get to a certain age, you don't believe in the boogeyman and that kind of stuff anymore. So you gotta get them when they're like fresh, fresh. Like fresh.

And they're just they just do weird things that like one time Stones, okay, we had we were over Stone's friends' um house.

I still don't know whose child this was, but like he got behind the bar in in like the downstairs that they had, and he just started talking to somebody. I don't know who. And I was like, Quentin, this is exactly why. Can we get the father? Can we please get somebody's let's get the can we get the parents? Because who are you talking to?

Ma'am. So, you know that and Children of the Corn. The entire town was ransacked. I still don't know how because yes, I know that there was like a lot of kids and stuff, so they did kind of like overpower. But there were still like a lot of adults. Right. And that, um, in the scene that, you know, they was slicing and dicing in the diner. But y'all could have still, I just have the mentality that if there's more of us than you, right. These people just do never band together. At all. Y'all could have banded together and got these kids away. Malachi. They could have done something. Y'all could have done at least something. But no, they just sat there and let them get overpowered by these eight-year-olds. I'm confused. Right. Because back they wasn't even like possessed or anything. I don't think. I think Malachi was, because he was like a little weird. He I mean they all was. I have questions about what led up to this moment. Right. Because I haven't watched Children of the Corn in a while.

They always are targeted, but I I they are kind of more creepier than just the normal adult human, though, too, sometimes. Like they It's just I don't know what it is about them. Well, and it's not like I don't like children. I love children. I love kids.

But I'm saying, like, when they begin to act weird and just like because you don't know as an adult, you don't know, like you have that instinct to be like, okay, do I need to help them? Or like, do I need to defend myself? Right. Because it's like I don't want to beat up a kid, obviously. Like, I don't want to I don't want to punch them in the head. Right. Like I don't want to sock them, but if you were coming at me, what am I supposed to do? So it's like a it's a moral dilemma. Correct. More than anything.

And their little laughs be just they're creepy too.

They do. But yeah, I think I think children are definitely easy, I guess. You can say they're just easy to manipulate and easy for the spirits and the entities to do what they want to do with them.

And it's easy for like people who write these scary stuff to like put them in because of the fact that it just makes it the just the overall creepiness level like ten times more, just because it's a kid. Correct, correct.

Um let's talk about like a hospital.

The hospital. So I know we touched on the hospital a little bit on the last episode, but we can kind of go um well hospitals are used in like every like every movie.

Especially slasher. Right. Every every movie, almost every horror movie deals with a hospital. And granted, granted, yes, when these characters get hurt or something, we're always taking them to a hospital because that why not. But then it's always just a scary hospital.

It's specifically like what gets it, and that's pretty it's pretty much majority because Michael's done this, Scream has done this, all of them. It's when um you are supposed to be the hospital is like kind of like the police. The thought of the s of you're safe. You're around a bunch of people, you're around a bunch of nurses, like you're supposed to be safe at these community houses, like these community spaces. Right. But you're not. Right. So that fucks up, I think, your mental because when you wake up and there's nobody there, because there's nobody ever. There's only one nurse at the nurses station. Always. There's one nurse. Like, can I have somebody else with me? I'm confused of why there's nobody else on the stairs. Why? Where's security? Where is security? They're dead. Can y'all have a security on every floor? Correct, because Sandy will not let you in there.

What are you thinking about? It's time for groups. I was not, absolutely not. But yeah, I mean, because you gotta think even everybody, it's always they wake up. Right. Even from like, even shows the pretty little liars and all that, which I love pretty little liars. The only thing is that A got so complicated in like the last time.

Because I was like, who every time I thought I knew who A was like, there was like six different A's because Toby was A, Mona was A, then Cece was A, and it was just a lot of people.

That's what I thought it was gonna be in the beginning. But they did have an episode that, yeah, Hannah got hit by a car and she was in the hospital, and guess what? She woke up and nobody was there. And that is, it just messes. I think that it just is something in your mind that's like, okay, I thought I was gonna be safe.

Right. And I think too, it's the atmosphere of it all. Like it's quiet, all you hear is the little beep, beep, beep, beep, beep all the time. It's dark. These long hallways, like it's a big building. And like you, if you're if I'm laying in the hospital and it's like just completely dark, all I hear is my TV in a beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, and like it's say my door's open because it has to be open, whatever, and I I see nobody in the hallways, I don't see darkness, I don't hear nothing. That's kind of creepy. That makes you lose your mind.

It's just the because it's after midnight hours and shit. They just dim, yeah. Right, and then the whole hallways and stuff dim. If I hear noise, like they always do, hear noise, for some odd reason. If I heard noise, I would just still be typing. I wouldn't go check it out because your brain's gonna start playing mind tricks on you.

Even if something's not there, because your brain automatically wants to put logic to anything you see. So even if nothing is there, your brain is gonna make patterns and make shapes to be like, okay, what is that noise?

Correct, especially in the hospital. Because again, those hallway are hallways are long.

Well, and it all looks the same. Like you can definitely get turned around in a hospital if you are getting chased. Correct. And then it's kind of like the back rooms type of situation that it's like I don't know where I am.

Right. Unless you like truly walk the floors up and down, you know, you know each area, but like, no, if I'm a new nurse, I'm fucking by myself. Mm-hmm. Because I would not. Mm-mm. Not at all, not down these little.

And I know we kind of touched on it before, but just the amount of energy that is in there in general because of everyone and what it the what they're there for.

There's a lot of energy just going on, like in as a Pisces myself, I absorb that stuff and it exhausts me. Like it exhausts me. And if I was just in that environment, I would just be like, I can't. I'll just walk out. I would. I'll just walk out. But no ma'am, no thank you. I don't want none of this energy. And then like if you're just in that wing. You hear Myrtle just going through the floor. Because again, you're supposed to trust these people. You're supposed to trust the doctors, especially if, like it's a crazy doctor like American Horror Story and stuff. You're supposed to trust the healthcare professionals. So if like something like that, if one of them are trying to murder you, you're like, okay, who can I trust now?

Right. If I get who do I go to? Right. And then you always have those skep or um those sketchy doctors, like we talked about, like where they they might have a bad day.

Mm-hmm. Or like the wrong patients getting on our nerve, and they're like, Well Your life is in, I think with the hospitals you know, like in the back of your mind, your life truly are in other people's hands at that point.

Correct. You don't know if they get a little tickle or or what might hit. Because sometimes, sometimes doctors and nurses can be so sleep deprived or just so just like because of their shifts, yeah. Just exhausted or just like they over or over stimulate it. And they might just accidentally do something, or they might just like be so over it that are like, I don't care anymore.

Correct. And there's so many true crime, like, I'm not a huge true crime person, but there has been so many. I've watched um Bailey Sarian Murder, Mystery, and Makeup Mondays.

Normal bettings going through, and it's just like a power trip that you have. Like, these people sometimes feel like that they're God and they can do that to people.

Like, we were watching um uh all the Queen's Men or whatever, and there was this nurse on there, so uh, Madam, her nephew, got sh uh shot and he ended up in the hospital.

He ended up in the hospital, but then he murdered his ex-girlfriend in a car accident, right? So her mom was his nurse. Oh shit. So then she had like um a little syringe a syringe full of something that would, you know, right, right, right. You know. And you know, she was confident, she's about to do it, but then um his girlfriend at the time walked in, so she didn't do it. But um that just it's uh that shows you like they can do that. If you it's easy for them to do it.

Mm-hmm. Cause humans were evil. Like the humans are very evil. Humans can become so evil and so just nasty towards other humans. We can't. Especially when money gets involved and greed gets involved. Or like, okay, you know, what's gonna make more money? Them just saying it's a freak show or them like literally trying to scare people. Correct. And as humans, for some reason, we just love to get scared. We do. I mean, we we love to get scared, obviously. We do. But we we wouldn't go to haunt houses that we know these people are not real, okay?
